Remembering Sr. Benen

On Friday May 30th, the school paid tribute to former Infant School Principal, Sr Benen who passed away in January 2014, with a special prayer service and tree planting. The school choir, led by Ms McGrath, sang at the children’s prayer service, which was led by Mrs Lyons and Ms Brennan.

Mrs Fahy paid tribute to the wonderful school atmosphere of respect that the school upholds. This is a reflection of the ethos of the Holy Faith Sisters who founded the school and by Sr Benen's example over so many years.

The tree planting ceremony took place in the school garden and a plaque was placed at the tree in her honour.

Members of Sr Benen’s family, her community, past teachers and friends attended on the day.
